Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and health care team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:
- Monday to Friday: 8am - 7pm
- Saturday: 8am - 3pm
- Sunday (for emergencies) 9am - 11am
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our receptionists will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, we will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
Of course, emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. Our veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians are here 7 days a week and are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Emergencies can be things such as poisoning, trouble breathing, difficulty walking, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment, do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible, it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
AFTER-HOUR EMERGENCY & URGENT CARE
When we are not availble, we recommend The Veterinary Emergency Group, located at 193 Tarrytown Road (Rte. 119) , in White Plains. The facility is located across from the Greenburgh Police Station. They are a 7-day, 24-hour emergency facility, trained to diagnose, treat, and stabilize your pet. Their phone number is 914-949-8779.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
We are proud to provide veterinary care to the Canine Units serving the Greenburgh, Eastchester, and Pleasantville Police Departments and the Greenburgh Fire Department at no charge. We also provide free medical care for the animals at the Greenburgh Nature Center, treat avian wildlife, and work closely with area shelters and rescue groups, providing medical care at reduced costs.
P.S. We are proud of our own Dr. Michael Woltz and 2 of our veterninary technicians, Paul Staar and Melissa Giuffre Staar who assisted at Ground Zero several days following the Twin Tower tragedy. Dr. Woltz, Paul, and Melissa attended to the search and rescue dogs, cleaning their fur, eyes, ears, and feet following their search in the rubble.
