We hope you enjoy these photos taken in our hospital:
Girl Scout Trooop 1594 from Edgewood Elementary school visited with Dr. Woltz. They asked amazing questions! We enjoy teaching young minds about veterinary medicine and pet care.
Following a successful neuter surgery, Dr. Cheryl Gross posed with Billy the Goat from Greenburgh Nature Center. Greenburgh Nature Center is a wonderful greenspace in Scarsdale for learning about wildlife and local flora.
This cute, but dehydrated, wallaby needed vital subcutaneous fluid therapy, which was administered by one of our licensed veterinary technicians. It's not everyday that we get to treat a marsupial!
Dr. Sills holds a Barred Owl that was found injured with 2 broken legs and a broken wing. During orthopedic surgery, Dr. Sills inserted several pins and wires in the wing and in 1 leg, and casted the other leg. The owl is now in a rehabiliation center, while it gains strength and will then be released into the wild.
Female dogs and cats who have NOT been spayed can develop a severly infected uterus, or pyometra, like this one. Spaying your pet would prevent such an infection and higher risk surgery.
This is an ultrasound picture of a cat's heart. Ultrasonography is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that is used to help visualize internal organs.
